Webinar and Virtual Event Specialist
Corston, Near Bath/Bristol (currently hybrid working office and home)

SelectScience® is looking for a webinar and virtual event specialist to join us and help support our significant growth in the scientific publishing industry. We are looking for applicants with technical experience of managing virtual events, or technical operation of audio and visual equipment at in-person events and are passionate about delivering successful events on behalf of customers. 


In this role, you’ll help to advance critical scientific communication by managing online webinars on behalf of global scientific manufacturers, helping them to reach their target audience. There will be a strong focus on delivering successful results and high quality, engaging events. You will provide expert direction throughout each project, from inception through to broadcast, helping to improve the engagement, effectiveness and results. A good understanding of event or project coordination and stakeholder management is therefore vital for this role. In this role you will also be responsible for post-event reporting and video editing (Experience with Adobe Premier Pro would be beneficial).

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:  

  • Experience of delivering successful events (2- 3 years) 
  • Tech savvy – able to use digital platforms (Example: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WorkCast) 
  • Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Beneficial to have experience with Adobe Premiere Pro but not essential 
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills 
  • Unwavering attention to detail with an acute awareness that everything counts 
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think, plan, innovate, and execute resourcefully
